I discovered podcasts around about the same time I got my first step counter. Because I was walking a lot more, I needed something entertaining to listen to. Then my car radio broke and instead of getting it fixed I just played my podcasts through my phone’s speaker.

Over the years, I’ve discovered some amazing podcasts that have made me laugh and cry (in public, which is slightly embarrassing), taught me fascinating things, and broadened my horizons. Oh yeah, and some of my favourite music podcasts have got me dancing in the street!

So I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite poddies so you, too, can laugh, cry and dance in the street.

Conversations

These interviews come from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, not the American one. Hosted by Richard Fidler and Sarah Kanowski, you don’t need to be Australian to appreciate what the guests have to share.

The guests come from all around the world and from all walks of life. Some are world-famous figures and others are living a quiet, suburban life. What they all have in common is they all have an amazing story to tell.
