Hi Buddy, I think this is a totally fair new policy. When I wrote my first novel I did a bit of research and decided not to quote song lyrics because they’re copyrighted. Instead I used song titles, paraphrasing and one of the characters misquoting lyrics. I have one story on Medium where I quote lyrics and I’m trying to remember what it is so I can edit it. Best to keep your pub safe 😀
