I agree with what you’ve written. As an Australian, I think my country should be a republic but it’ll be strange not seeing the Queen’s head on our coins. The Queen’s been there my whole life, my parents’ whole lives and most of my grandma’s life. Whatever your thoughts on monarchies, you’ve got to admire someone who did their duty so well for 70 years. Now it feels like something intangible is over.
