I Was MLM-ed By a Nude Model
When multilevel marketing interferes with your art class
Once upon a time, I enrolled in a life drawing class. I’m rubbish at drawing, but I thought it would be a fun new activity to try. Imagine my surprise when, as well as art, the model had an “exciting business opportunity” for me.
The art class consisted of a group of people drawing pictures of a young woman as she positioned herself in various poses. After the class, wine and snacks were served. The model, now clothed, joined us to mingle and chat.
Let’s call her Ada because I don’t remember her real name. Besides, Ada is the location of the head office of a certain OG of all MLM companies, so that’s appropriate.
Ada was nice and friendly. She asked a bunch of us for our numbers and I gave her mine, thinking nothing of it.
Flash forward a couple of days and I got a text from Ada.
Hi Nichola, I thought you might be interested in my business. Do you want to meet me to hear more?
I’d actually mentioned to Ada that I was fed up with the job I had at the time. Maybe there was something interesting going at her company.
Sounds cool, I replied. Can you tell me the name of your company so I can do a bit of research?
