Update on how I’m doing after almost 3 months on Medium
I now write at least one story a week — a minimum of 500 words but usually well over. Sunday is my publication day.
Wish I could write more
I read about these people churning out one or two articles a day. I’d love to write that much, exploring different topics, improving my writing and getting faster with practice. But I don’t have the time or the capacity to sit in front of a screen that long, on top of my 40-hour a week job which also involves writing. Plus my other commitments. And I choose not to get up at 5 am to squeeze in writing time.
So one or two stories a week is the best I can do at the moment. But I have a list of about 40 topics I can’t wait to write about. I have new ideas every day and add them to the notes app on my phone.
Distributed articles
Three of my stories have been chosen for further distribution. I’m really happy with that. It means that someone has read what I wrote, liked it and shared it with others.
