I’m coming a bit late to the Inside the Writers Studio Challenge compiled by the wonderful Charlie Cole. Charlie invited us to answer her fun questionnaire around three weeks ago. Well, I’m a little late to the game but I loooove answering questionnaires so I couldn’t pass this one by.

So here are my answers to the Inside the Writers Studio Challenge!

1. What is your favorite word?

Wee

Some of my friends in Barcelona are Scottish expats so I followed their lead and started saying “wee” instead of “little”. It’s a nice, cheery little word. Also, in my culture, we say “wee” for “pee” so it’s a bit cheeky too.

2. What is your least favorite word?

Hurt

Putting myself in such a position of vulnerability to admit out loud, “I’m hurt” makes me feel nauseous. And, yes, I know I’m going against the trends of today but I’m more of a “stiff upper lip” sort.

If someone really does hurt me to the core — and it’s been a while since that’s happened — I prefer to say, “I’m disappointed.”
