This writing prompt comes from Pierce McIntyre and it was super fun to think and write about.

When I die, I plan to be gifted with the ability to time travel. I’ll use that power to attend a selection of concerts that took place in the past.

These are those concerts.

1762 — The Mozart family at the Court of Prince-Elector Maximilian III of Bavaria, Munich

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a child prodigy. So was his big sister, Maria Anna Mozart (Nannerl).

The children began music lessons at a young age and Mozart wrote his first compositions at the age of four or five. By way of comparison, I was given a ukulele for my fourth birthday and I sat in its box, pretending I was in a boat.

The Mozart family began touring Europe in 1762 when Mozart and Nannerl were aged six and eleven respectively. Their first performance that year was an exhibition held at the court of Prince-Elector Maximilian III of Bavaria in Munich.

I’ve always enjoyed seeing talented children perform. I marvel at talents I never had and never will have. Although, I’m sure this tour would have been tough on the young…
